Vancouver hasn’t been truly #1 in the NHL in points in as long as I can remember, but they are now! They haven’t even played as many games as some of the other teams that are tight in the race. Also, their league-best single digit losses is outstanding as well as their league-best positive goal differential.

Vancouver Holds Chinese Chef Competition!

Vancouver starts a new Chef’s competition, inviting chefs from 12 major Chinese restaurants to compete in a all out war for best chef in Greater Vancouver! See more at the Chinese Restaurant Awards here.

Winner was Tony Luk from Jade Seafood Restaurant. I guess that makes it the best Chinese restaurant around.

Telus Mobility’s New Paperless Billing is a Money Grab

“In a bid to be more environmentally conscious”, Telus Mobility is going to start charging $2 for paper billing starting Sept 21st, 2010.

There is a logical fallacy here.

If Telus Mobility really wanted to be more environmentally conscious wouldn’t they give everyone a $2 discount to switch to paperless billing? Darren Entwistle just found a new way to increase revenue! Most businesses need to have paper records of all their expenses so they will have to make sure they get the email and then print it themselves, and this doesn’t save much in the way of trees except maybe an envelope.

Face it, Telus is making a cash grab!

Vera Kobalia, Georgia’s Stripper Cabinet Minister in Vancouver

Vera Kobalia, Georgia’s Minister of Economy, graduated from King George High School and attended BCIT here in Vancouver before being appointed to the Georgian Government in July 2010.

Now, photos of her posing on a stripping stage with other strippers has surfaced from her facebook account! That’s kinda hot. We need ministers like that.

Asian Girls dressed as French Maids in Vancouver

Well, Richmond actually.. but its still part of Greater Vancouver. Dubbed a “Cosplay Cafe”, which is short for Costume Play, the little Asian girl servers dress in French Maid outfits when they serve your food and bubble tea.

What else could a Guy Want? I bet Peter Chau goes here!

Its called Magnetic Cafe, and they plan to change costumes weekly, with plans for Import Model costumes!

Canada is #4 Most Developed Country in the World

Just stumbled onto this HDI (Human Development Index) thing, which places Canada in the #4 slot in the list of most developed countries in the world behind Norway, Australia and Iceland. I wasn’t expecting us to be so high up there, but good on us!!!

Jonas Brothers Cancel Vancouver Show!
