BC Teens Helping to Reduce Teen Shootings

This is the second instance in a month in which a BC Teen has helped put a stop to what could possibly have been another school shooting. While many kids think sometimes this stuff could be a joke and not take it seriously, obviously these teens that have been apprehended and are facing charges had [...]

Russian are serious Sore Losers – 2010 Olympics

Its obviously not just me who thinks this.
But after Evgeni Plushenko lost to American skater Evan Lysacek and awarded himself a “Platinum Medal“, you have to wonder how long a sore loser can keep playing games like that.

Then the Russian Maxim Shabalin got a Bronze medal for a routine that was definately a league [...]

Are the Brits Bitter about the Olympics?

Are the British bitter about the 2010 Vancouver Olympics? Maybe its because they have no medals, or maybe its because their Britsh Snobbery just couldn’t help coming out when they know they’re a dying country and Vancouver is such a better place to be and live. Maybe they’re just a bunch of sheep following their [...]

Canada Wins First Olympic Gold on Canadian Soil

Finally, Canadian downhill mogul man Alex Bilodeau wins our first Canadian Gold medal on Canadian soil. And then of course the Australian’s think that their (former Canadian) athelete Dale Begg-Smith should have won it. Sounds like the typical sore loser speech. I have been of the opinion that someone that won before should not have, [...]

Canada Trailing 2010 Vancouver Olympics

Well.. its 2 days into the events, and we’ve got one silver, and one bronze
Hopefully we can get a few more medals in! I’m not sure how we are expected to do, and many of the medals don’t start rolling in until the end of the games.

Tim Hortins Bans New Brunswickian

Apparently a Tim Horton’s in New Brunswick owned by Edwin Dow has banned a guy from ever going into their store again because he has gotten Burnt Decaf coffee and complained three times about it.
Now, I can understand pain in the ass customers, and stuff. I’ve complained about lots of stores in the past, [...]

Best Picture Oscar Nominees!

The Nominees are in for Best Picture, and for the first time in a while, I’ve seen most of them. The nominees are:
Avatar
Inglourious Basterds
Up in the Air
The Hurt Locker
Precious
Up
An Education
A Serious Man
The Blind Side
District 9
Seems to be quite a few nominees this year, or maybe I’m just not remembering previous years correctly. Of those that [...]

Hottie of the Moment: Anna Kendrick

Just watched Up in the Air, and Anna Kendrick looked pretty hot. I love the character she plays. I remember her from Twilight, or rather, the first half of Twilight I watched before I couldn’t handle the bad acting and melodrama. I love her girl-next-door look combined with innocent naivete, she plays it very well.

BC Advertisment for 2010 “You Gotta Be Here”

BC Tourism has put together a commercial using some famous names such as Sarah McLaughlin, Ryan Reynolds, Michael J Fox and some others to promote BC during the Olympic Games. These ads will run on American and Canadian Television to try and entice more tourism in our lovely province. Thoughts?

Alexandre Burrows Points Finger at Referee Auger

I’m a 100% Canucks fan, but while this kind of politics probably happens all the time in hockey, I’m surprised that it has come out this way. It makes the Canucks seem like sore losers, and while its agreeable that most people that watched the game would agree that some of those calls were questionable, [...]
