DOOD.CA: Guy Stuff

I just got married a month and a half ago, and through some referrals found a photographer that REALLY exceeded our expectations, providing digital negatives and more photos and time than anyone else, while producing excellent professional photographs. Additionally, he provided slideshows and had a two-person team at both our engagement and wedding photo sessions. His candid shots were fantastic. He spent the entire day from 8am until around 11pm with us. Norman Ng truly gave us some amazing photographs that I could not be happier with. He is based in Vancouver.

I attached some photos from our wedding, but only included ones of inanimate objects… to keep the privacy of the people, so to speak. Anyway.. I am absolutely 100% satisfied with how everything came out, and his enthusiasm, and willingness to come and work with our schedules during all our meet-ups was fantastic. Also, the three hours they spent with us on our engagement photo shoot was fantastic. He took some amazing photos at that and we were very happy.

Andy Warhol’s Michael Jackson portrait painted in 1984 fetched “millions” today at auction. The painting was recently purchased only in May for $278,500, and sold for an undisclosed amount. The estimated selling price was $10 Million.

This represents a hell of a return on investment. Heck, makes you wonder if the original buyer had anything to do with Michael Jackson’s death… would make a good murder mystery plot, anyway.

After seeing this Miracle Fruit or Miracle Berry mentioned on a CSI Episode at least a year ago, the idea of a berry that changes the way your palate perceives tastes of food has intrigued me. I enjoy food very much, and being able to suck on a lemon and have it taste like sweet lemonade sounds so cool!

So yesterday on the Kid Carson radio show on the way to work, the crew there ordered some freeze-dried MiracleBerry and actually tried drinking strange things on the air while under it’s influence. It worked! So I found the link to the place they purchased their Miracle Berry from and I ordered a 2g pouch of it as well. I’m quite excited to try out this stuff, and I will keep you guys posted!

Twitter, the latest internet microblogging Phenom, continues its problems this morning with outages from a denial of service attack which has kept the website out of comission on and off since 6am Pacific Time.

As many have said before me.. if Twitter intends to continue to be a big player in this game, they will need to be able to protect themselves from DoS attacks as well as handle their userbase of 45 million users. Even prior to the DoS attacks, Twitter has had problems with scaling their software to handle the enormous surge in usage that the site has seen.
