I’ve always been a fan of Energy Drinks, and Rockstar is probably one of my favourites. I tried Rockstar roasted for the first time about a month ago when I was at a Nanaimo-based Sports Nutrition store called Fuel. I picked up the Light Vanillia, which is actually a half-calorie product, while the Mocha is a full calorie one. I did not realize that until now. I prefer the taste of the Vanilla one anyway, and at 100 calories per can, its very good for a coffee drink with added energy in a can. It leans on the sweeter side, and is quite a bit more viscous than coffee. No carbonation (thank god).
Check it out.. I love this stuff:

Was down at Fab Clothing in Kerrisdale today shopping with Ashley, and I picked up a Raw 7 Cashmere hoodie that was just marked down. Deadly soft, and super warm in pearl color with a Lion & Tiger design. Couldn’t find a pic of it online… but its kind of like the Dragon Hoodie below, but in a pearl/creme instead of the green. Shouldn’t be spending more since I just picked up a sweet new Energie jacket yesterday from Latitude, but I couldn’t resist. Moving to Vancouver is going to be a challenge to not spend money, but when Ashley goes back to Ontario I will likely not be going shopping every day (as has been the case to keep her entertained).

Recently opened, Club 241 has quickly become the spot to party in Nanaimo. It is a nice place with clean floors and a brighter, fresher atmosphere than any club out here. Completely revamping the Jungle and under new management, they did some seriously hardcore renovations in there.
Dance floor is 2 sections, with a raised, lit floor on lightboxes, with two poles. Lower dance floor is steel with two cages. Very large dance floor, and a killer sound system.
Seriously… forget the rest. Club 241 is the only place to dance in Nanaimo.
Seeing as I’m moving back to Vancouver in 3 days, I won’t get to experience it again.

I’ve recently discovered a damn tasty yet healthy shake/smoothie that I’ve been drinking with my girlfriend. She is a huge fan of it, and it’s really simple to make. The only things you need to make it besides the ingredients are a blender and a measuring cup and a tablespoon.
The ingredients are as follows:
2 Scoops – Fitsmart Old Fashioned Vanilla
1 Scoop – Phytoberry
4 Heaping Tablespoons – Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt
1 Cup – Water/Ice Mixture
1/2 Frozen Banana
1 Cup Frozen Berries (Blueberry or Mixed)
Throw all the ingredients into a Blender and blend away! A few things to note:
-Try to put the fitsmart protein/fiber mixture in last, after everything is all blended.
-If your blender sucks, don’t use ice, just use a cup of water. The more slushy you want it, the more ice you should use.
-Using all blueberries is the easiest, as many other berries have seeds. However, other berries can give you some diversity of flavour.
Enjoy the shake! This should be enough for 2 full servings, and contains about 340 calories in total (170 calories per serving).

Affliction launched their new Heroes and Demons line of shirts that has a lot of insane graphics inspired by asian tatoo artists. Some INCREDIBLE work there… really awesome shirts, and now their line up is big enough that there are far more shirts to choose from. Definately keeps things more interesting.
Check out the new Ro-Chi-Shin Shirt with green foil accents:
