Hot Girl – Hayden Panettiere

Posted by the dood on Sunday, October 28th, 2007

If you guys watch Heroes, you’ll be familiar with Hayden. What you may not know, is that she is also a Singer, with several singles on complilation albums like GirlNext. I’m not sure if she has a full album coming out, but her music is very typically of the pop genre. She plays Claire, an indestructible teenage cheerleader in the show, which plays on NBC monday nights. I caught the first season and was quite impressed with the show.

Her music is ok, but she is hot, and this is really all that matters right?

Girlfriends are wonderful – Make sure they know it!

Posted by the dood on Saturday, October 27th, 2007

I had a little birthday shindig on friday night at my place. My co-partner in crime on here, Rob, was also present. A good time was had by all, with lots of potlucked dishes including a fanastic dip by a friend of ours, Frank, who might be joining us in this blog soon as well.

We all headed out to Starbucks around 10:30 to have a coffee and chill for 30 minutes… then Shannon (my girlfriend) and I came home. Se wanted to give me my birthday presents, which consisted of two knives, and a bath bomb. Now those of you that know me, know that I am a huge knife collector and also run a website on custom tactical knives, so buying a knife for me can be a daunting task for a girlfriend. Shannon decided she would buy me a couple, and was very nervous about buying them for me.

The knives I collect are very expensive so she felt a bit awkward giving me knives that aren’t really as expensive as the stuff I typically collect, since she is a student and can’t afford to buy me lucrative gifts (but that still doesn’t always stop her – she got me a $100 Black Hearts Brigade t-shirt too).

The first knife was a nice CRKT Side Hawg knife:

Its pretty cool. I like it quite a bit. The second knife she got me is a Gigand Stallion:

They’re both really nice knives and I am very happy that she gave them to me, but I made the mistake of saying that I used to have one of the Gigand Stallions before, and she was pretty embarassed and got very upset… I didn’t realize that the statement would have the impact that it did. I regretted saying that. I also had a funny look on my face when I saw the box since I knew what it was – not good to have. From this experience, I have learned something that I want to share with other guys out there.

Guys Moral of the Story – When your girlfriend takes a risk and spends her hard-earned money to buy you a gift that is something you are passionate about, let her know that you appreciate her effort and that you see that she put a lot of thought and love into the gift.

In my case, I should have never made light of the fact that I had one of those knives before. She immediately got the impression that it was a stupid gift since I had already had one before. Combined with the fact that I typically collect knives in the $400+ range, she felt like her gifts weren’t good enough. But they are! I love that she took that risk and bought me a couple of knives. It wouldn’t have mattered what she got me but I’m proud to have a girl that is willing to put herself out there like that just to make me smile. And for that, I love her.

Gun Seizure in Nanaimo, October 11th

Posted by the dood on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

What is the world coming to? In fair Nanaimo is where our story unfolds…

A man of 59, named Raymond John Waller is arrested and faces eight charges related to firearms and illegal weapons possesion. Right here in fair Nanaimo. On Manning street in Harewood… and they say that Harewood is a safe nice area. Not that it isn’t, but it has a reputation for being the shadier part of town. This is manning street:

As you can see, it’s a short street. Apparently some fellow in the area shot some pictures of the crime scene cleanup in action, and I even got pics of the man himself:

Swat was there, all decked out in their goodies. This is one of the biggest arms seizures in Nanaimo history, and I’ve been having trouble googling for information about it. I was able to come up with a couple of links for the full story:

Here are a couple more crime scene photos:

Enjoy! Maybe Nanaimo will end up like Surrey and their 6 shot dead execution style* in the apartment.

*They weren’t actually shot execution style. Police are not releasing any information yet as to how exactly they were shot.

Birthday Weekend in Vancouver

Posted by the dood on Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Yep, its that time again.. another year, another birthday.

So, I headed down to Vancouver to visit my parents and friends that live out there for the weekend. It was a great time, got cool gifts, money, and cake along with free meals and all that jazz. I got to spend a bit of time with an old buddy and realized how much I miss hanging out with him. He even got me a Jack and Jones zip up shirt.. its pretty sweet.

A few things interesting things that I have learned in my trip.. mostly consumerism type stuff – still the same Nelson I used to be!

But First, a Note to Rob: You don’t get traffic to your site from traffic going to the word “porn”, you use names of stars, and other types of stuff, and you also use affiliate links. When you set up a site, you go through one of the big affiliate companies and you give them half your income ($30 signup, you pay them $15 for a referral) and they do the work of getting traffic to you, as long as your site converts, they will be more than happy to send you customers.

Back to my adventures in Van:

Juicy Couture – Definitely coming back in a BIG way. Their stuff is everywhere now… and my girlfriend bought one of their purses. She is also big into the House of Dereon clothing line from Beyonce. But Juicy Couture is her new love. She picked up a black Juicy Purse and can’t stop fondling it, and has now grown her purse collection just that much more.

I know how to keep her happy now 🙂

True Religion Jeans – I always thought overpriced denim was well… overpriced. In the US they are like $200-250, but here in Canada we pay over $400 for a pair after taxes. Figure that out, especially when our dollar is worth more! I’m thinking about snagging a pair off ebay for $100 or so, but considering the fakes out there and my lack of knowledge of these jeans it might not be a good idea.

Maybe I’ll hit the US one of these days and pick myself up a pair.

Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier and other Unique shirt brands – Very cool stuff, I’ve seen Ed Hardy’s stuff but didn’t know it was made by Christian Audigier. Christian Audigier is a French designer that became popular when he joined Von Dutch and brought the brand to the forefront of young designer clothing. Now he has his own label and also designs the Ed Hardy line of clothing with Tatoo artist Don Ed Hardy.

I noticed the stuff but really didn’t think much of it until I heard that certain clothing brands were banned from certain clubs in Downtown Vancouver. Brands like Affliction, CA, Ed Hardy, and Extreme Couture were all banned.. so I wanted to know more.

Not sure why they are, but they are. Not really all that interesting, but the clothes are quite unique, with a lot of very interesting style to it. Christian Audigier shirts sell in the neighbourhood of around $150 or more, with some of the hoodies fetching in the $500-600 range. Stars like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are loyal fans of Audigier.

This is probably old news for most style junkies out there, but its new to me and I found it interesting 🙂

That just about wrapped up my birthday weekend!

My name is Rob, and I like pr0n

This is my first post, so listen up.

So I’ve really been into the idea of finding some new online hobbies.  Strangely enough I have fallen upon blogging.  Strange because I’m a shy and reserved person.  Now the first question I had on my mind when I started writing is what should I talk about, and did I ever come up with a sweet idea.

Let’s look at some ways to make money online.  [Nelson: gee that’s original, Rob!] First up for today is amateur porn.  Come on you know any guy who has access to the internet has at least been tempted to look some up, but more importantly you know any guy who has access to the internet and a webcam, dreams of getting paid for some nooky. What could be easier, have a little fun time with your girlfriend, post it up on your web site and watch the dough pile in right?  Wrong!  Hasn’t anyone ever told you how much money it costs to host a porn site?  Porn sites have some of the highest bandwidth usages online and that costs money.  Even if you had the money to start this pornsite you would have to draw hundreds of hits a day and every one of them would have to buy access to your site, how likely is that. Sure maybe they will click a few ads and generate a little income but your going to be bleeding money unless you can get members to sign up.

robpronsearch.jpg

Now  first off your probably asking why I can say with such certainly that you will not generate hundreds of hits a day?  Think about the saturation of pornsites on the web.  You’re unheard of so you are going to need to get found through search engines. Let’s do a quick google search for amateur porn, 2,750,000 sites found, wow ok so even if you make it to 35th on the list I’m still never going to see you cause by the time I’ve looked through the first 35 I’m all spent.  So already your chances are low.  Now think about how many cheap skates are out there, all they do is go and download your free samples and finish their fun.  Seems to me you won’t be making any money that way . . .

Well that’s it I’m out. Peace.
