The Christian Audigier site is showing NEW shirts and hoodies and a new long sleeve for men, however, the Names aren’t up yet. The names are there, so we can only guess what they look like for now 🙂

Really stoked to see what the new T-shirts look like. Maybe by the time you read this, the photos will be up!

Vancouver Boxing Day Shopping Success!

Posted by the dood on Friday, December 28th, 2007

Shopping this boxing day was fantastic, with Downtown being extremely packed. Interestingly, Downtown had the most people and least deals as far as I was concerned. We hit a few areas but by far the best deals were to be had at Fab Clothing. The location we visited was the Kerrisdale one, but ther is another in the Kits area on 4th Avenue. They carry all the big brands such as Rock & Republic, True Religion, Christian Audigier, Royalty, etc. They had 30% off ALL Men’s denim. Most places were only offering about 25% or less, and sometimes nothing.

I will definately be visiting Fab in the future. Downtown was mediocre… very busy and the discounts were alright. All I ended up with from downtown Robson was a shirt from Mexx. As usual they had their 50% off. I also picked up a shirt from Guess in Pacific Centre. They had additional 50% off all sale merchandise, new stuff was regular priced.

Another stop we made was Aberdeen and Parker Place in Richmond, however this was on Christmas, rather than Boxing day. I visited JCY House in Parker Place, which is an Ed Hardy dealer, and other things as well such as True Religion. Being that they were in Parker Place, sometime the authenticity comes into play, but JCY House’s goods seemed real to me, and comparing to the legit stuff I already have, it looked good. I ended up buying a pair of Ed Hardy jeans there. They had 20% off everything, and 50% off shoes. I was tempted by a pair of ed hardy shoes for 50% off but decided to pass.

Finally we went to Lunch at the Jade Restaurant in Richmond, an excellent restaurant for chinese food, and followed it up by heading to the Bay to find me a new suit. Yeah, I spend much more on my casual clothes than my suits.. so shoot me 🙂 Ended up scoring a nice suit for 50% off, and it fits perfectly.

At the end of the holiday shopping madness, I got:
True Religion Jeans
Christian Audigier Hoodie
Christian Audigier Belt
Ed Hardy Jeans
New Suit
Guess Button up Shirt
Mexx Dress Shirt

I got my girl:
GG&L Purse
Rock n Republic Jeans
Various Shirts

As you can see, I spent more on me 🙂

Some other places of note in Richmond included:
AR Fashion in Aberdeen – Lots of Versace and Moschino and things like that.
Latitude in Richmond Centre – Affliction, Firetrap, Division L
Boys’Co Outlet in Richmond Centre – Seemed like deals but I didn’t go in.
Below the Belt in Richmond Centre – Lots of Ed Hardy at this location, none on Sale for Boxing Day though.

Hope your holiday shopping was as good as ours!

Let me say this again – Macs Suck!

Posted by the dood on Thursday, December 27th, 2007

I don’t understand how people can say Macs are problem-free, and are so much more stable than PCs.. because Time and Time again, the problems I get on my mac are much more severe and debilitating than ANYTHING I have ever experienced on a PC, hardware crashes not included.

This morning, I run the latest update to Mac OS X on my iMac at work. Thing runs great, finishes, then insists I reboot. Sure thing. I reboot, and suddenly now I can’t start Safari. It tells me it quit suddenly. Okay fine, I try and start Mail. IT DOES THE SAME THING! I try and send a message to someone for help in Adium, and I can’t see ANY text on the screen, It allows me to send the message, but I can’t see my own message, or any replies in the chat window.

Now tell me again, why Macs “ROOL”? No Thank You.. Just too frustrating. Rant Off.

True Religion – Super T, Big T?

Posted by the dood on Monday, December 24th, 2007

If you’ve been around you’ll see that Designer denim (along with every other luxury good out there) is bigger than ever now, with some really cool stuff coming from the giants in Designer denim like Rock n Republic, True Religion, Diesel, etc. For the discerning gentleman, a pair of True Religion jeans is indispensible. Masculine and bold, unlike a pair of Rock n Replublics, which do look really good, but have a slightly more metrosexual vibe to them.

True Religion Jeans for men in Vancouver can be found at Below the Belt, Boys’Co, Plush Lounge, Holt Renfrew, Fab, Hill’s and a few other places. Rock and Republics are found at pretty much the same places. Other popular brands like Diesel, Energie and Evisu are often found at similar stores as well.

Back to the discussion at hand: Super T, Big T? What is it and why do I want it?

Big T stitching is an emphasized white sticthing used throughout the jean giving it a very bright white thread. in the seams. It looks hot, and right now is probably one of the more bold statements you can make with your mens jeans:

Super T stitching is an even more bold and emphasized stitching than the Big T. Think of it as True Religion Big T on steroids 🙂 My personal fav’s for showcasing a nice pair of jeans. The Big T is good for everyday wear, but the Super T is good for those special days:

True Religion has also recently put out some nice hidden stitch big pocket jeans and painted horseshoes as well as the Rainbow pockets. Now you have lots of variety and can have several pairs of True Religions for any occasion. Typically the Super T’s are the most expensive, Big T’s are mid-priced… the painted Horseshoe’s are quite cheap.

A pair of Trues for every budget! What a concept 😉

Got my new Dell Inspiron 1420

Posted by the dood on Thursday, December 13th, 2007

As much as I love the internet and posting on forums and running my websites, I am not much of a computer hardware guru, which is unfortunately since there is a lot of interest in the stuff and starting a websites in that niche would be quite a profitable venture. I picked up my new Dell laptop a few weeks ago, and have started using it and familiarizing myself with Windows Vista, and seeing how I like it compared with XP and even Mac OS, which i’m not too fond of.

The machine I got is the 14″ model with a beautiful screen and these specs:
Intel Dual Core T2310
1 GB Ram
80Gig HD
14.1″ Hi-Res Glossy 1440×900 Screen
CD/DVD
Green Color

I love the green color.. it makes the laptop more personal and something more interesting than your typical black and silver offerings. The screen is also beautiful, and I am really enjoying the way vista looks and feels. The new interface is pleasant to use and all the graphical elements are much improved. I have however had some problems with certain programs working properly with it, mostly just with MagicISO.

Anyway, I highly recommend these new Dell Laptops, they are nice to use. They even have a SD/MMC card reader in them, really cool.
